บทสรุปผู้บริหาร: มหาวิทยาลัยสีเขียว มศว

          มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒมุ่งขับเคลื่อนการเป็น “มหาวิทยาลัยสีเขียว” (Green University) อย่างเป็นระบบ โดยบูรณาการแนวคิดด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและความยั่งยืนเข้ากับนโยบาย การบริหารจัดการ การเรียนรู้ และการดำเนินชีวิตของประชาคมมหาวิทยาลัย เพื่อร่วมลดผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ และมุ่งสู่เป้าหมายความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน (Carbon Neutrality) และการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ (Net Zero GHG missions) ในอนาคต

          มหาวิทยาลัยได้ประกาศนโยบายมหาวิทยาลัยสีเขียวอย่างเป็นทางการ เมื่อวันที่ 30 มีนาคม 2569 พร้อมจัดตั้งคณะกรรมการกำกับและขับเคลื่อนนโยบาย เพื่อกำหนดทิศทางและเชื่อมโยงการดำเนินงานใน 6 มิติสำคัญ ได้แก่ การจัดการพื้นที่และโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน การใช้พลังงานและรับมือการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ การจัดการของเสีย การบริหารจัดการน้ำ การเดินทางและขนส่งอย่างยั่งยืน ตลอดจนการศึกษาและวิจัยเพื่อความยั่งยืน

          การดำเนินงานที่สำคัญครอบคลุมการสร้างความตระหนักรู้ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม การจัดทำฐานข้อมูลพื้นที่สีเขียวและก๊าซเรือนกระจก การพัฒนาความรู้ด้านคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์และคาร์บอนเครดิต การอนุรักษ์และเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียว การฟื้นฟูระบบนิเวศ ตลอดจนการส่งเสริมให้ส่วนงานพัฒนาเข้าสู่มาตรฐานสำนักงานสีเขียว (Green Office) ผ่านระบบพี่เลี้ยงและการแลกเปลี่ยนแนวปฏิบัติที่ดี นอกจากนี้ ยังเปิดโอกาสให้นิสิต บุคลากร และเครือข่ายภายนอกเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้อต่อสุขภาวะและเป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม

           มศว ยังมุ่งยกระดับผลการดำเนินงานให้สามารถประเมินและเทียบเคียงได้ในระดับสากลผ่านการเข้าร่วม UI GreenMetric World University Rankingsโดยใช้ผลการประเมินเป็นเครื่องมือในการพัฒนาระบบบริหารจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างต่อเนื่อง

           การขับเคลื่อน Green University ของ มศว จึงไม่ได้จำกัดอยู่เพียงกิจกรรมด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมแต่เป็นการวางรากฐานเพื่อเปลี่ยนผ่านมหาวิทยาลัยทั้งระบบ ให้เป็นองค์กรแห่งการเรียนรู้ที่ใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างรับผิดชอบ ลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม และสร้างคุณค่าร่วมกับสังคม เพื่อส่งต่อมหาวิทยาลัยและโลกที่ยั่งยืนให้แก่คนรุ่นต่อไป




Executive Summary: SWU Green University

          Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) is systematically advancing its Green University agenda by integrating environmental responsibility and sustainability into institutional policies, management practices, education, and campus life. This commitment supports global efforts to address climate change and guides the University towards Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions in the future.

On 30 March 2026, SWU officially announced its Green University Policy and established a steering committee to provide strategic direction and coordinate university-wide implementation. The policy encompasses six key dimensions: setting and infrastructure; energy and climate change; waste management; water management; sustainable transportation; and sustainability-focused education and research.

Key initiatives include raising environmental awareness, developing green-area and greenhouse-gas databases, building institutional capacity in carbon footprint assessment and carbon credits, expanding and conserving green spaces, restoring ecosystems, and promoting Green Office certification across university units through coaching and the exchange of good practices. SWU also encourages students, staff, and external partners to participate in creating a healthier and more environmentally responsible campus community.

To strengthen accountability and benchmark its progress internationally, SWU is preparing for participation in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings. The assessment framework will serve as a strategic tool for monitoring performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and continuously enhancing the University’s environmental management system.

SWU’s Green University journey extends beyond individual environmental activities. It represents an institution-wide transformation towards a learning organisation that uses resources responsibly, reduces its environmental impact, and creates shared value for society—contributing to a more sustainable university and a better future for generations to come.
